Getting Started

What is NectarFi?

NectarFi is an automated DeFi yield optimization platform that makes institutional-grade trading strategies accessible to everyone. We handle complex yield farming strategies so you can earn returns without the technical expertise.

Is NectarFi safe?

Yes. NectarFi is designed with security as the top priority:

  • Non-custodial: You maintain control of your funds at all times

  • Audited smart contracts: All vaults undergo rigorous security audits

  • Battle-tested strategies: Proven track record with zero security incidents

  • Transparent operations: All transactions verifiable onchain

However, DeFi always carries risks. Please read our risk disclosures before depositing.

What wallets are supported?

Currently supported:

  • Phantom - Recommended for Solana strategies

Coming soon:

  • MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, and more for Ethereum-based strategies

What are the minimum deposit amounts?

Minimum deposits vary by strategy:

  • ETH Delta Neutral: 0.1 ETH

  • BTC Basis Trade: 0.01 BTC

  • Stablecoin Yield: 100 USDC

  • Perpetual Funding: 0.5 ETH

Deposits & Withdrawals

How long does it take for my deposit to start earning?

Your deposit starts earning yield immediately after the transaction confirms (typically 10-30 seconds). The algorithms automatically deploy your capital to the strategy's target protocols and begin generating returns.

Can I withdraw anytime?

Yes! NectarFi has no lock-up periods. You can withdraw your funds (principal + yield) at any time.

Note: Withdrawals may take a few minutes to process as positions are unwound. Gas fees apply for withdrawal transactions.

Are there withdrawal fees?

There are no withdrawal fees charged by NectarFi. However, you'll need to pay gas fees for the transaction on the blockchain (typically $1-5 depending on network congestion).

What happens to my yield?

Yields are automatically compounded back into your position. This means your returns generate additional returns, maximizing your gains through compound interest. You receive both principal and accrued yield when you withdraw.

Strategies & Performance

How are APYs calculated?

APYs are calculated based on actual onchain performance over the past 7 days, annualized. The formula is:

APY = ((1 + 7-day return) ^ 52.14) - 1

APYs are updated in real-time and reflect current market conditions. Past performance does not guarantee future returns.

What does "delta-neutral" mean?

Delta-neutral strategies aim to eliminate market exposure. For example, the ETH Delta Neutral strategy goes long ETH spot while shorting an equal amount of ETH futures. This way, whether ETH goes up or down, the net position remains flat while earning yield from funding rates and lending.

Can I lose money with NectarFi?

While our strategies are designed to minimize risk, there are scenarios where you could experience losses:

  • Smart contract vulnerabilities (though contracts are audited)

  • Extreme market volatility causing liquidations

  • Protocol failures in underlying DeFi platforms

  • Impermanent loss in certain strategies

We mitigate these risks through diversification, automated hedging, and conservative position sizing. Always invest only what you can afford to lose.

Which strategy should I choose?

It depends on your risk tolerance and goals:

  • Conservative: Stablecoin Yield (Very Low Risk, 7.4% APY)

  • Balanced: ETH Delta Neutral (Low Risk, 20.2% APY)

  • Aggressive: Perpetual Funding (Medium Risk, 26.8% APY)

Consider diversifying across multiple strategies to balance risk and returns.

Fees

What fees does NectarFi charge?

NectarFi charges two types of fees:

  • Performance Fee: 10-20% of profits (varies by strategy)

  • Management Fee: 1-2% annual (varies by strategy)

Performance fees are only charged on gains, never on principal. All fees are deducted automatically and reflected in the APY displayed.

Are the displayed APYs net of fees?

Yes! All APYs displayed on NectarFi are net returns after all fees have been deducted. What you see is what you get.

What about gas fees?

Gas fees for blockchain transactions are separate and paid by you. You'll pay gas when depositing and withdrawing. NectarFi optimizes gas usage by batching operations and using efficient smart contracts. Typical gas costs are $1-10 depending on network congestion.

Security & Risk

Are smart contracts audited?

Yes. All NectarFi vault and strategy contracts undergo comprehensive security audits by leading blockchain security firms before deployment. Audit reports are publicly available upon request.

What is "non-custodial"?

Non-custodial means NectarFi never takes custody of your funds. Here's what that means:

  • Your funds go directly to smart contracts, not to NectarFi

  • Only you can withdraw your funds (using your wallet)

  • NectarFi cannot freeze, seize, or access your deposits

  • Your private keys remain with you at all times

What if a protocol NectarFi uses gets hacked?

We only deploy to battle-tested protocols with strong security track records (Aave, Compound, GMX, etc.). However, if an underlying protocol experiences a security incident, positions in that protocol could be affected. We mitigate this through diversification - your capital is spread across multiple protocols, not concentrated in one.

Can NectarFi steal my funds?

No. Due to the non-custodial architecture, NectarFi has no ability to access user funds. All operations are executed through smart contracts that you interact with directly using your wallet. Even if our entire team disappeared, your funds would remain accessible in the smart contracts.

Technical Questions

Which blockchains does NectarFi support?

Currently:

  • Solana - Live

  • Ethereum - Live

Coming soon:

  • Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, and more

Where can I view the smart contract code?

All NectarFi smart contracts are open source and verifiable on-chain. Contract addresses are displayed on each strategy's detail page. You can view the code on Etherscan (Ethereum) or Solscan (Solana).

Does NectarFi have a token?

Not yet. A governance token is planned for future release, which will allow the community to participate in protocol decisions. Follow our Discord and Twitter for updates on the token launch.
